About Air Handler Cleaning
The air handler is where every part of your system meets: filter rack, coil, drain pan, blower, and the supply and return plenums. It is also the one place where contamination affects everything downstream. A clean duct system attached to a dirty air handler will not stay clean, and a musty smell traced back to the cabinet will never be solved by cleaning ducts alone.
Our air handler service treats the cabinet as a whole. We vacuum and wipe the interior, clean the coil face and blower area, clear and treat the drain pan and line, check the filter rack for bypass gaps that let unfiltered air around the filter, and inspect the interior insulation lining for damage or microbial growth.
If the liner is deteriorating or growth is present, we tell you and document it with photos rather than fogging over the problem. At $129 per handler this is the foundation service that makes every other cleaning last.
